Hang in there....not sure why there is not more activity here.....I havn't been here for over a year...but have always enjoyed about learning about our greys....now just one....12y/o Flirt. Our 13 y/o Chuppa died last year-we think of cancer. She was a cool dog and great friend.

Many people are moving to Tuscaloosa to find a piece of the American Dream, and a quiet town to raise a family.  When buying homes in Tuscaloosa you should always consider all the communities in and around the city.  One of the nicest is Lake Tuscaloosa.  If you find what you are looking for in Tuscaloosa, you may never move away T-Town is as good as it gets.

Bill....We are looking for a 2nd opinion from a knowledgable vet in the 280- area.  re: prognosis of Sequemous cell carcinoma.....Our vet told us in 1/2012 that our 11 y/o greyhound would be dead in 90-120 days time due this aggressive form of cancer. She is still with us and seems to be doing ok....our delimma is that we are going on a 3 month RV trip and are wondering about the inevitable - should we put her to sleep before leaving this June? Right now, she appears to be doing reasonably well.

Could you recommend 1 or 2 knowledgable Vets for us to visit?

Thanks

There are some speciality vets at the other e-vet on Acton road. I don't know about an oncologist though.

I believe Dr Couto would be your best bet.

Good Luck

My 11 y/o girl, Annie was diagnosed with TCC on Friday - specifically in her urethra.  Has anyone had a grey treated for this in the Bham area that could recommend a local oncologist? She's been seeing Dr. Lee at the Morgan Road emergency vet but  I'm gathering some information on the Greytalk forum to contact Dr. Couto at OHU.

TIA.

Where do the Romps take place? When I first got Emma from the track we came to a few over in Hoover by the baseball fields. We had to quit going due to an oh so common leg injury and by the time we were healed we came out a few times but no one was there or there would be other things goin on on the fields such as soccer, baseball, etc.

We live in Hoover now and would love to meet up with some other greyhound owners and let Emma run around with them.
